It’s Like Making Money!!

A few weeks ago I went to the farmer’s market and bought some rosemary, along with lots of other veggies. In order to preserve the rosemary for longer, and to try to plant it after I put the herbs in a glass on my kitchen window, with some water. Just like you would with cut flowers.
The rosemary has grown roots!
This means I will be able to plant it into a pot with some compost. This is MUCH faster and easier than growing rosemary from seed, and much CHEAPER too!!
You can notice in the pictures below that even after I used all the leaves, still the bare rosemary branch grew roots. Growing food from what you would normally throw away.
I have had a lot of success with celery and romaine lettuce too, by just leaving about 1 1/2″ and keeping the base in water. These plants grow from the centre.
Great project for kids!
